The way we build
Four principles that decide how we hire, what we ship, and how we treat the writers who depend on us.
Remote-first
Distributed by default, async by habit. We optimise for deep work and trust over presence and meetings.
Craft
We’d rather ship one thing that’s right than five that are nearly. Taste and rigour both count here.
Evidence
Decisions lean on research and real writer feedback — not the loudest opinion in the room.
Respect for the writer
Everything we build keeps the human in control. We hold that line even when it’s the harder product call.

What we look for in each other
We’re small enough that everyone’s work is visible and everyone talks to users. That only works with a particular kind of person.
- You write English as a second language, or you take seriously the people who do.
- You can hold a high bar and a kind tone at the same time.
- You’d rather understand the research than win the argument.
- You ship — and you finish what you ship.
- You’re comfortable with autonomy and allergic to busywork.

ApplyProduct Designer
Remote · Full-time
Shape calm, legible interfaces for writers under pressure. You think in systems, prototype quickly, and treat restraint as a feature.
ApplyML / NLP Engineer
Remote · Full-time
Work on translation quality, model routing, and the authorship layer. You care about evaluation, second-language nuance, and not flattening a writer’s voice.
